Waiting on the World to Change

Jon and I have very different taste in music. We mostly just don't listen to music in the car becuase we can't agree on what to listen to. However, there are a few artists that we both really enjoy, and John Mayer is one of them. So for my birthday, John got tickets to the John Mayer concert at Usana amphitheater. We had a blast.
Neither of us had been out there for a concert. It is a really fu n place and we'd love to go out there again. It is way out west. We thought we'd grab dinner before the show. After driving around forever we found there are no restaurants and ended up going to Panda Express. When we got to the amphitheater there were tons of concessions with yummy food. Oh well, we know for next time. I did get some ice cream- who knew oatmeal icecream was so good!

Colbie Caillat was the opening act. I love her voice. This was half the reason I was excited for the concert. I had never seen what she looked like and I pictured her very different, but I loved this part of the concert. Her voice is amazing and her songs were great. We were sitting during this part of the concert and of course I ended up with a tall lady with the big hair sitting right in front of me. I listened more than saw Colbie.
Luckily, when John Mayer came out, everyone stood up, except tall lady, so I was able to enjoy the sights as well as the music.

It was a great concert. He was so funny on stage. It was like he was just up there jammin' to himself and not a huge audience. He has a funny sense of humor. His music was awesome. The show in the audience was quite amuzing as well (there was a 65ish old man with a 30ish girl both drunk, that really liked each other- I tried to get pictures, but it was too dark and the camera was running out of batteries, a little gross, but highly entertaining.) All in all we had a great time and it was a wonderful birthday present. Good work Jon, I love you.

Ahhhhhhh John Mayer is great! Glad you had a good time. We never go to them because Sean doesn't like concerts. You guys are so cute together!
